This is a valuable course for participants who are interested n becoming the next neighborhood babysitter.

General Information

Our Babysitter Course will cover topics such as interviewing tips, communication skills, ages/stages of young babies and toddlers, safety, first aid, feeding, and caring for young children.
Each future babysitter will also get to learn how to hold a baby and change his/her diaper.
Participants take notes from a PowerPoint, share group discussions, and share hands on experiences. At the end, there will be a brief quiz, and certificates will be distributed.
This course is oared at 19 different sites in the Hudson Valley and is an enrichment program that promotes positive behavior.

About the Instructor

Amanda Tucker is a Kindergarten teacher holding three certifications in early childhood education, general education, and special education, as well as a Master’s degree in literacy.
